Pros

The organization has brought in a large number of new folks over the past six months. Only time I've seen a private equity group invest in growth instead of just cost cutting. Major focus on growing and finding work with new customers. It's been a refreshing change of pace. The Austin group rolled out a new work schedule with a standard 4x10 Monday-Thursday week, with Tuesday and Wednesday in the office. The three-day weekend every week is nice.

Cons

Some of the products have a lot of tech debt that we have to work through.

Pros

Flexible schedules, hybrid work (where applicable), student loan assistance programs, solid PTO package, easy accessible leadership, clearly communicated plan for expanding the business.

Cons

The company recently broke off from the legacy Ultra Electronics business. Ultra I&C is now a standalone company. In some areas it does feel like a start-up business, which has pros and cons.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Good working arrangement, able to work from home and come in once a week. Summer hours are 4-10's so you always have a three day weekend.

Cons

The company was purchased by an investment group.
