Pros

Decent salary, basic individual health insurance and dental paid by company, centrally located in Charlotte but not in too-busy uptown, good restaurants nearby.

Cons

Decent salary but none of us have gotten raises in 2-3 years. Meanwhile other companies in area start $8-10k more for same experience level. VERY high turnover. Hard to build teams when people quit so much. We used to be able to work remotely several days a week which was amazing, but that was taken away due to actions of a few. Upper management's mentality is that we all need to consistently work 45+ hours. We even had a contest to compete for scraps by working as many hours as possible, all while not getting raises in several years. It was insulting. Performance reviews pushed off, no clear communication on chain of command when people quit, and general low morale. The company is growing too quickly and management seems desperate to promise anything to clients just to make a sale. Requirements gathering process is subpar resulting in rushed projects where people are stressed to the max. Seemingly random deadlines given for projects, using outdated technology. It's a smaller company and we almost never see the CEO. However the COO is very heavy-handed and changes his mind constantly. He overrides nearly all suggestions from project managers and designers by changing his mind so much. We are asked for input then told to leave if we don't agree. Former employees are blamed for problems. We are told to "care more" while our raises never come, perks are taken away, and our suggestions are ignored.

Pros

Free breakfast and lunch, bring your dog to work, relaxed dress code (shorts and T-Shirts allowed), $35/month free money for break-room vending machines purchases. Fully equipped gym.

Cons

Very high turnover! Never seen a place like this one, people leave sometimes within a few weeks or days of hiring, most of the times with little or no notice. Every so often batches of employees are let go after what it seems to be one of the owners temperamental power trips. Upper management directions are constantly shifting, submitted plans of action get ignored, then after several weeks you get accused of not having one. Bring that fact to their attention and you get informed that it was your job insuring that they read it. Unprofessional! Performance reviews are based on items that were never been discussed or requested before, yet you get below expectations results never the less, while your hard work and accomplishments gets ignored. Then there are the tens of cameras on permanent recording everywhere, covering every corner of the building inside and out. There are 6 of them in the break room alone, I mean, those chips and popcorn must be very expensive to justify such a security system. "Embrava" light cubes that detect computers user status, i.e., "Active", "Inactive", "On a call" etc. sit at every desk station. Taken all together, this gives the idea that ownership has very little trust on their employees, to the point of paranoia. While it looks to be a nice place to work at first, there are plenty of reasons why people are leaving as soon as they can and for why this company receives so many bad reviews from employees.
