Pros
Working at Victory Home Remodeling as an SDR has been a really positive experience, especially because of the training and team environment. The training is genuinely amazing—it’s very hands-on and pushes you out of your comfort zone in a way that actually builds real confidence fast. You start to feel ultra confident speaking to people, handling objections, and carrying conversations naturally, which are skills that translate far beyond just this role. On top of that, everyone at the company has been super welcoming from day one. The culture doesn’t feel intimidating or cliquey, and that makes a huge difference when you’re learning something new. Being around such a driven, high-energy team also keeps you motivated and constantly improving.
Cons
That said, the role definitely isn’t easy and won’t be for everyone. Since it’s door-to-door, you’re dealing with a lot of rejection and putting yourself out there constantly, which can be mentally draining if you’re not used to it. The role is also pretty structured in the beginning, so sticking to a script can feel a little unnatural until you find your own rhythm. Like most sales jobs, there’s performance pressure tied to results, and the hours can sometimes be long or inconsistent depending on when people are home. It’s also more physically and mentally demanding than people might expect, since you’re on your feet, staying energized, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the day.
