Pros

1. Everyone on staff cares for your wellness, whether it's HR, your manager, or even the CEO has personally texted me and ensured my career started off great at Viz. 2. Creative outlet, this company allows you to try new things without repercussions, do you want to be on a podcast? yes go for it, do you want to donate your time to a cause or a charity? yes go for it! 3. Do you want to be a part of a community in the office, even though the office might be closed due to a shelter in place order? Yes, everyone wants to feel connected, whether its on Slack or google hang outs, everyone feels its a safe space to learn and be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Cons

1. I honestly can't think of anything, I guess, if you're new to Japanese culture or Japanese products, it's a little tough to understand some discussion at times, but just being polite and asking and learning will be appreciated and be helpful. 2. I started working from home during the shelter in place order, this isn't the companies fault by any means, but it has been an interesting way to start a job, just trying to get to know everyone and be a part of the team is a little tough at first.

Able to WFH, freebies, access to anime/manga industry, ok work life balance

Cons

Terrible leadership with no accountability, lack of career growth opportunities, poor company culture, awful company location, history of racism, sexism and harrassment from employees that gets ignored
