Pros

The employees are/were (before the layoffs) wonderful people to work with.

Cons

Executive leadership does not answer or even acknowledge hard questions during company calls. The leadership team isn't receptive to the feedback of their employees and have a mentality of a dictator - do what I say and don't question what we do. They keep chipping away at any benefits of working there. It is a healthcare company that continues to say we're setting the standard and yet they are barely average when it comes to market standards with their healthcare benefits and office benefits. Leadership, like many other companies, are forcing people to return to office under the guise of "creating a culture of learning". Its really because they overspent on a new office building in an inconvenient location and now need to justify their spend. Speaking of "learning culture" - they do not learn from their employees or from the changing industry. They keep regurgitating the same tag lines with not clear message of where the company is going. Their poor communication to their employees is creating a culture of distrust in leadership. Leadership is performative when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They don't speak out about any of these issues in the media and barely address anything internally.

Pros

BCBS Health Insurance. HSA account. Friendly colleagues for the most part. Lots of PTO days. Decent total comp package.

Cons

High chance of stress and poor work life balance in the following roles: Category Managers, Contract Managers, Portfolio Executives (experience was shared by colleagues in these roles). Seeing a lot of people leave the company. Didn't hear of lay offs so the departures were probably voluntary. Company mostly hiring because many people leave the company so career opportunity is good if you want to role the dice. Decent amount of benefits, but hard to use them when you are always working long hours to stay afloat.
