Pros
They have good benefits and would be a great job if they didn’t micromanage the teams into becoming resentful.
Cons
I would have enjoyed this job had certain management actually cared about their employees. Regional management in the Cincinnati Market has been be informed multiple times by many employees of drug abuse and violence in the workplace and does nothing to resolve the issue. Instead they retaliate against those who are causing issues by speaking up. The current regional will actively “manage people out” if employees acknowledge their poor performance in any way. From speaking with others this has been going on in the market for some time. When faced with a complaint they wait until the issue is outside of HR’s ability to actively investigate and take action. Store Management is constantly put into situations that cause them to be burned out. If you do not do what they ask for “the team and your personal development” they will attempt to manipulate you or get rid of you, even if it is an unreasonable expectation outside of your job description. I have seen many employees become tired and fed up. Upper Management is prideful and lacks empathy. Regardless of staffing levels you are expected to figure every piece of the puzzle out without needing support. This sounds harsh, but this is the reality. They have great principles on paper however they are just for show. Employees are scared to speak up because they fear losing their position. If you work there and are having issues, speak up, to HR. If you don’t back yourself up you can expect to speak with unemployment.
