We are sorry to hear that you feel your experience at Windy City Call Center was not the best. Please be assured that our inbound call center job is not a sales job. However, there are clear targets that must be met. As with any job, there are metrics and production goals to ensure that work is being completed. In this case, we are not signing up individuals, but helping them to complete their application and the background check. It is important that we meet the targets our clients have requested and we are upfront and honest about this on our job posting, in training and during the interview. We send several forms of communication to detail the job. Ultimately, our job is to guide applicants through the application process. We do not "sale" jobs.
In addition, Windy City complies with all federal laws as it relates to breaks. Per the Department of Labor, employees should receive a break if they work 5 hours and 45 minutes a day.; not every 4 hours. These breaks should be paid. All of our full-time employees, receive an hour for lunch, and two paid 15 minute breaks. These breaks are communicated clearly to new hires.
Furthermore, reps are provided paid time at the beginning of their shift to prepare their systems and check emails. We regret that you were unaware of these things, but these are clear and ethical business practices that we use. This information is also clearly communicated in training.
Finally, we do offer a comprehensive benefits package and health plan. In fact, our reps benefit from matching 401K options, increases at the 90 day, 6 month and yearly makr, and healthcare plans for both the employee and their family members are available.
We understand that you may have not enjoyed the experience, and encourage you to follow-up with any questions you may have had. We strive to be an ethical, integral and honest employer for all employees.
