Pros
- Solid market leading product - Remote work is a plus - Most individual level contributors are smart and supportive
Cons
- Micromanagement is out of control. Leaders feel the need to be in every little thing, which makes people feel constantly undermined instead of trusted. - Way too many meetings. It’s normal to lose two+ full days a week just sitting in internal calls, which leaves no time to actually get work done. - “Alignment” is the excuse for everything. It sounds nice, but it really just means no one takes ownership, and projects get watered down. - Key decisions come from the same small group of long-tenured middle and upper-level managers. As others have said, tenure matters more than expertise. - Leaders don’t like being challenged. Even if you bring data or best practices, if it doesn’t match their opinion, it gets ignored. - The exec and wider leadership team has never really scaled a SaaS company, and it shows. The board isn’t much better, with limited outside perspective and tech experience. - Pay is under market value.
