Pros

THE PEOPLE are WICKED SMAHT. The growth. The daily challenges. Problem Solving, Using Your Mind Daily. Sense of Humor. Culture. Environment. The snacks (please note weight gain in the Cons). Did I mention the AMAZING PEOPLE yet? Very ethical. Team Work. No two days are alike. Product is constantly evolving. Agile Development Methodology. So Casual you could probably get away with your PJ's. Open learning environments. Travel opportunity if you like that; ability to stay home if you don't care to travel. Flexible work hours/environments. You are ACTUALLY treated like an adult - there's no over your shoulder whispers. Flat management structure. Customers LOVE US - a 99% customer satisfaction rating. Progressive for Realz. Intelligent Leadership with Vision and good communication skills to employees. Doesn't have traditional HR - so there's no top down bull - it's all employee up - Employees are the company - and that is understood.

Cons

Weight gain due to free food and endless supply of pop. Demanding work loads. Completely chaotic. If you love an organic culture - this is THE BEST place to work. If you like traditional M-F 9-5 - go away; this is not the place for you.

Pros

Remote work and flexibility Size of company is great - not too big, not too small Great coworkers (aside from the leadership)

Cons

- Horrible psychological work environment. The senior leaders in my department were absolutely terrifying and incredibly nitpicky, rather than encouraging and supportive to their people. - Career growth is a joke at Workiva, and leaders make it clear by their actions (and at times, words) that it's not a priority. I remember sitting on a department call where my VP said, "Growth is not getting a promotion at Workiva," and the context in which she said it made it feel cold, patronizing, and disheartening. Departmental calls were often uncomfortable and totally deflating. - Extremely unrealistic and very subjective standards - No manager accountability - People constantly live in fear, but the work flexibility and "great place to work" facade keep employees stuck in a toxic loop - When they get the slightest whiff of unhappiness, they push you out. I've seen it time and time again (which then creates a toxic fear culture) - Constant gaslighting
