Pros

Xceptor is small enough that an individual can make a real difference, but large enough to have a global reach across the world's largest Financial Services businesses. I ensure that Xceptor's technology strategy supports the business strategy and vision. My role is both technically challenging and strategically rewarding — balancing application architecture, Cloud Native transformation, platform scalability, and security with real-world client needs. The culture is collaborative and intellectually curious. I’ve worked closely with talented engineers, product leaders, and domain experts who are passionate about solving complex data problems. Leadership is accessible and open to new ideas, and there’s a genuine commitment to continuous improvement: we're embracing the opportunities of AI and have recently implemented a SaaS-first release model.

Cons

As with any high-growth company, priorities can shift quickly, and navigating ambiguity is part of the job. The pace is fast, and expectations are high — but that’s also what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Thank you for taking the time to share a review. We're pleased to hear that you see the clear market need for our product and value the maturity of the platform and the commitment of the team behind it. It’s great to know that you’ve experienced support from colleagues and appreciated the autonomy, professionalism, and high standards we aim for when building our teams. You’ve also highlighted an important part of our journey. As we continue to emerge from a period of transformation, we recognize that many people are new and the organisation is still evolving. With that does come some growing pains, but it also brings fresh energy, new ideas, and significant opportunities for individuals who enjoy autonomy and are motivated to shape their own success. Thank you for your balanced and constructive feedback. Thank you again for being part of our journey and for helping future candidates understand what it’s like to work here.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful and balanced feedback. We really appreciate your recognition of our collaborative culture, hybrid working approach, and the focus we place on continuous professional growth—not just during review cycles. It’s great to hear that our teams’ openness to new ideas, solutions, and cross-functional collaboration is resonating. We’re also glad you highlighted the opportunity to help build processes and systems from the ground up. While this can certainly present challenges at times, it’s an important part of supporting our long-term growth and creating scalable, sustainable ways of working. We acknowledge the growing pains that come with scaling—particularly around evolving processes, workloads within small teams, and the need for additional internal resources. These are areas we’re actively working on, including continued investment in systems, tools, and support structures to better enable our teams as we grow. Your suggestion around expanding junior support roles is especially valuable and aligns with ongoing conversations about capacity, development, and burnout prevention. Thank you as well for your advice to management. Maintaining our #OneTeam mindset and strong cross-functional alignment remains a priority, and feedback like this reinforces the importance of that focus. We appreciate your honesty and engagement, and we’re grateful for everyone who contributes their voice to helping us improve and grow together. Thank you for your commitment to Xceptor!
