Pros

- Good salary - Remote work (if you aren’t near an office) - Book reimbursement program - Decent benefits

Cons

- If you think that you can do your job, based on your skill-set and expertise, without being micromanaged from the very top, good luck - An expectation from execs to “boil the ocean” in the sense that, you’re going to be asked to do things that definitely aren’t your responsibility or even a problem you can fix - Company priorities shift on a dime - They don’t care about you, even though they have a “culture of care” - There’s an expectation for the marketing to fix everything, but the execs dissolved the marketing organization - Marketing teams are asked to lead the product-led-growth strategy, not the product org - Leadership is chosen based on vibes, existing relationships, and who enjoys putting others down for fun with the founder - Our constant feedback is to just do whatever Microsoft or RingCentral is doing

Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. It’s clear you care deeply about your work and Zoom’s success. We’re glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with aspects like salary, remote flexibility, and learning support through programs like book reimbursement. We also understand your perspectives—particularly around shifting priorities, micromanagement, and the evolving role of Marketing. Feedback like yours is essential as we continue to assess how we empower teams to lead with their expertise, and how we bring alignment between product development, go-to-market strategy, and organizational structure. Your voice matters. Please reach out to engagement@zoom.us if you have any further feedback.

Pros

Nothing about this company is worth noting.

Cons

One of the worst companies I have worked at. Management and leadership are disorganized and unsupportive. Employees get treated like dogs and are talked down to. No work life balance because everything is an escalation or because some “head” requested something. For a company so well regarded, they sure know to how be cheap and take away benefits. Parental leave is basically a slap you in the face. Comp is high but expect to have that dangled in your face or else you get let go. On site lunch and breakfast is nice but how much can you sugar coat the terrible work conditions with little snacks? Everything is such a mess. I’ve been here for almost 7 months and have not met a single person that enjoys their job. DO NOT JOIN ZOOM!
