Be careful - all woke PR rhetoric, reality is cut cost and jobs - Strategy Manager Zurich Insurance Employee Review

Friends there still tell me everyone is awaiting the “annual spring cleaning”. Every April this company goes through and cuts many many jobs under the guise of “change” when in reality they are not able to grow profitably and can only pull the expense reduction lever each year. I hear this year for those that don’t get cut, they get no merit salary increase. Meanwhile they constantly talk of how woke they are: “green initiatives”, D&I initiatives, etc etc. They have to reduce force constantly but can afford to employ high priced people to drive D&I efforts that achieve nothing other than to make them feel woke and progressive? Disgusting. Be careful job seeker!
