Pros

Strong sales/commercial team, able to close deals with the biggest pharma companies. The product is trying to solve the right problems, there's a lot of interest and buzz around this solution space from the industry.

Cons

Negative workplace culture. Weirdly hierarchical vibe despite the small company size and early stage - definitely a you vs. me vibe between leadership and the rest of the team. Lots of ego and power posturing from leadership, including humiliating people in meetings by purposefully making them look stupid. Leadership assigns blame like attack dogs when things aren't going well. Zero psychological safety, people are afraid to mess up or be on the wrong side of an opinion. So much turnover. Over half of the AI and product teams churned over the span of 6-8 months. Low morale - engineers constantly feeling like there are more high priorities than they can possibly accomplish with their team, and when they don't succeed, they get blamed. Honestly don't know how to be successful here, and know that many feel the same. Poor/absent people management. Ask about when the most recent employee satisfaction survey was, and what changes they've made to improve things (hint: never and nothing). Don't work here if you want to feel like a valued person, as opposed to just a "resource". Don't work here if you want to feel like you're working on a motivated, cohesive team, as opposed to working to keep your job. Don't work here if you want any kind of professional development or feel like anyone cares about how you're doing, whether you're learning and growing.

Pros

Product is impactful to patients and winning in market; innovative culture and team. Big logos/customers. Strong R&D culture.

Cons

Long hours and lots of travel. Low pay compared to larger AI firms. DC location 2nd tier for pharma tech. Invest in Finance/Ops.

Pros

The team members still showed up. • Formal requests for essential tools disappeared into an approval process that never ended • Those in charge blamed budget constraints while continuing to hire more staff • Half my time was spent creating systems that should have already been in place • Every report suffered because of missing resources • Work came to a standstill whenever specialized tools were required

Cons

• Equipment and infrastructure needed to do the work simply did not exist
