Pros

Great pay if you're a male and white like me. Lots of random unplanned travel opportunity, especially for young people. Paid overtime.

Cons

Not recommended if your not white, or a female. Poor management and business ethics. Large company still operating like a 40 man operation. Lot of the employees and engineers are stressed with poor work life balance. Lots of overtime. Poor mentoring for new employees. Leadership with poor personalities and business acumen, common aggression. Promotions are based on hearsay and whether one "looks" the part, rather than the companies subjective criteria. I've seen a lot of people overlooked because of this.

Very skeptical of the firm as a whole

Pros

None. Except that the salaries and benefits exceed your expectations. I wish there were more pros about working at Enercon. Seriously.

Cons

During career fairs and interviews, they will play extremely hard to get. They will focus solely on your academic transcripts and will go to every course you've taken and ask you as to why your grade was the way it was. If you screw up just one semester at school, you will not even be considered! I mean, who does that? Grow up seriously! The work that they do: 10% design and 90% report writing, if you wanna be a design engineer, this is definitely not the place for you because the work gets monotonous. Bottom line: they always play very hard to get almost as if they're doing rocket science.

Too many bosses

Pros

The compensation is generous, especially for entry level employees. Employee stock available.

Cons

Too many middle managers leads to micromanagement of employees. Mixed signals from different managers and project leaders leads to wasted time and efforts, for which the employee is often blamed. Employees are blamed for mistakes which are often beyond their control and could be prevented by changing the project process. Management is unwilling to make any meaningful changes.
