Pros

Great staff and team, good amenities. Management rewards you if you work hard.

Cons

Energy Transfer has used extremely poor judgement during Covid 19. We are required to be back at the office on August 3rd, and it is terrifying. Cases in Houston are only increasing, and there have been several cases in the Houston office that have been hidden from the employees. For an entire office to be stuck inside for 8+, where no social distancing is enforced, and cubes are less than 6 feet apart, it feels extremely scary to know that a company wants us to risk our safety just so we can work in person. Some colleagues are also unwilling to wear masks when they come to the desks, and come extremely close.

Pros

You'll get great experience working here. The health benefits are excellent, although that comes largely from ETP than Sunoco. Salary is lacking for the work they require of you.

Cons

There is a general lack of guidance and support from management. Maybe this is because of the quality of people they promote - based more on who their favorites are than ability or performance. When you raise issues, promises are made but not followed through on. Be careful during your interview for this company; they can be misleading when describing your workload, your job duties, travel amounts, etc. My experience was completely different than what was discussed in my interview. When I spoke with my supervisor about this (multiple times), promises were made to fix this, but there was absolutely no follow through. It is clear I was just being told what I wanted to hear in order to stay longer. Be especially careful in the butane group - it is a revolving door. There is little opportunity for growth or promotion and no guidance or support on major project issues. Management doesn't seem to care about their employees being successful.

Pros

The employees of ETC are wonderful people with great skills and a can-do attitude.

Cons

Employees made this company what it is today but are now tossed aside like yesterday's trash. Your IT and HR departments have fallen apart and now it appears that their job is to eat employees' souls for lunch. Try getting necessary staff positions filled, or give an employee a promotion. Its easier to thread a camel thru the eye of a needle.
