Pros

As a lean organization, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in projects and processes that you would not normally have a chance to experience. One year of experience at the company can equal two or three years at a different organization.

Cons

Sometimes you have to do your own job and one or two other people's as there are always openings. There is not a lot of work/life balance, and the pay and benefits are not very competitive.

Pros

People within the business units are good people, working long hours to make an impact. Good name recognition with Enerpac, Hydratight, Cortland and Weasler. Good learning experience for those that want a corporate experience in a global organization.

Cons

Corporate is a extremely political and those that are "yes" men and tell the leadership, especially the CEO what he wants to hear are fast tracked. Recent promotions are an indication of this. Bonus system is based on financial goals that are unattainable, hence the employees gain little value. Additionally, poor performers receive the same bonus as the top performers. No incentive to go above and beyond. They speak of a growth company that is operationally excellent: however top line grown has shrunk year over year and the operations are failing: quality, delivery, safety issues due to lack of investment. Motivated by financial numbers only.
