Pros

1. Useful product/s 2. Nice office space in DTC 3. Enjoy co-workers within my team 4. Simple interview 5. Able to expand connections within the industry

Cons

Engrain paints itself as a rapidly growing tech startup when in reality, it is a struggling company clawing for market share and money. Since accepting money from outside investors, Engrain has been on the hunt to hit excessive and unrealistic sales goals, creative a pressure cooker within the company because teams simply cannot handle the the increased volume. Certain, non-glamorous, client-facing roles are underpaid and have a constant revolving door of great employees coming and going because of the intense pressure, workload, expectations, and Engrain’s inability to support them. Leadership is toxic- not everyone, specifically two-three team leads are unwilling to change the way they do their jobs as the company grows, causing massive problems. The CEO is unwilling to notice and blind to these team leads as he is focused on hitting the bottom line, which should be the least of his worries. Between the lack of transparency, terrible communication between teams, firing employees without warning and just cause, Engrain needs major help from HR and a good hard look at who is leading their teams. BE AWARE- employees are planning exit routes before Engrain completely damages its reputation.

Unhealthy Work Environment, Unrealistic Workload, Unpleasant Managers

Pros

Not much to be desired at Engrain aside from the office being right on the lightrail. Company doesn't provide free RTD EcoPasses but does give you discounted fare options. The ground-level workers are friendly, knowledgeable, easy to collaborate with, but many are planning their escape routes.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations caused by an extreme volume of work. The insufferable CEO is very focused on increasing market share even though we can barely keep up with the current volume at our current staffing levels. The CEO and his fiancee use remote work as a scapegoat for poor communication, even though communication has always been problematic across teams due to how busy everyone is as well as the turnover rate on the production/implementation side. While the normal work week should be 40 hours, you can expect to regularly put in 60 hour weeks at Engrain and still not be done.
