Pros

Growth, steady work, majority caring people who care about their work.

Cons

A couple of supervisors will treat you like an outcast because you come from the outside in and some even just totally disregard any request. They are not open to new ideas from new management coming on board, if you walk down the halls you see the supervisors sit and talk more than work. No surprise I hear about the overtime constantly being given. If you suggest something they run to upper prior existing management because they don't want changes. The upper management is so scared employee's are going to run to Shannon that they baby them.

Ensemble Health Partners Response

Thank you for this feedback. Because I can’t be everywhere at once I rely on our associates to bring concerns to me. It sounds like some may be concerned about issues coming to my attention, but that’s understandable - it can be uncomfortable to face problems. In the end, we always work to find the best outcome for Ensemble by putting people first, last and always. As far as being open to new ideas, this is an area close to my heart. Our recognition as innovators in the market is only possible because of the ideas that our associates come up with on how to create greater efficiencies, drive better outcomes for our partners and improve experiences for people (associates, partners and patients). I encourage you to use our idea boards, speak up in DIBS meetings, share your ideas in our town hall meetings and even communicate with me directly: ShareWithShannon@Ensemblehp.com. I encourage supervisors to meet and collaborate often to cross-pollinate ideas and tackle challenges. We trust them to use their time wisely and measure their performance to keep our company goals on track. I am fully behind your advice to management on being open to change and not being afraid to bring me ideas. Like I said before, change can be uncomfortable, but if we’re going to redefine the possible in healthcare we need to lean into change. We need to be the difference. You also make a great point on needing processes for facilitating change. I am happy to report that we have recently made deep investments in both staffing and process development for exactly that. We’ve brought on some great talent in HR and organizational development to support the effort. Thank you also for your positive remarks. I could not be happier with how much Ensemble associates care about the work that we are doing for American healthcare.
