Pros

This company is one of the greatest companies I have ever worked for. My career spans over 30 years so I have several points of comparison. I think the most important one is that the leaders, Judson & Shannon, challenge you to run your department to take to the next level. This is a liberty that is not existing in other companies I have worked for. They listen to your thoughts and ideas, you are able to express any thought without worry of retribution. Coming to work here has been like a breath of fresh air!

Cons

I really don't have anything to complain about working here

Ensemble Health Partners Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We wanted to first start by addressing this topic of feedback and communication. Here at Ensemble, communication with each other, our team members, leaders and across the company is imperative to the success of our company and the results that we produce for our clients. Each and every day our associates have the chance to meet with their team and their leader to talk about what’s working, ways to improve and things that are going on around the company. Every week, our senior leadership team sends out communication to all of our associates, no matter their location. We have a newsletter, a company intranet, additional weekly e-mails that are sent to our associates and may other different ways that we communicate across our company. We provide countless opportunities to speak up about ways to improve around our company, and we encourage this each and every day. In addition, the personal cell phone numbers of our senior leadership team are published, and we have an easy way to communicate directly us via e-mail as well. We encourage our associates and our leaders to share their feedback in the avenues outlined above, but wanted to take the time to respond directly to your post. If you feel that your concerns have not been addressed, have you taken the time to escalate to the next level leader? We want, and encourage, our associates to escalate concerns and feedback, all the way to the senior leadership team if appropriate. As we like to say, “have the courage to have the conversation.” To the point about scheduling, Ensemble does offer flex and compressed work schedules to those in good standing with the company and within reasonable hour intervals, for many of our positions within the company. At Ensemble, productivity is based upon position and time studies from industry and internally. Given that we only hire full time, this is 8 hours in a day, therefore, the concept of five per day, or less than one appeal an hour, is not a solid productivity target. You can imagine that all positions in revenue cycle have expectations for both quality and productivity, especially given the value of the robust incentive plan we offer our associates. Promotions in our company are routine and we are proud of our numerous programs that have allowed many associates to grow from within. The career paths are consistent and qualifications tracked. The program is very empowering to those that chose to work for the promotion ability. At Ensemble, we conduct internal time studies that can be captured through system monitoring quarterly and ensure our productivity goals are achievable and consistent. We have physicians, clinicians, attorneys, degreed folks and non-degreed folks, and the productivity is consistent to job role and scope. If you find that you are struggling to meet productivity targets, have you taken the time to seek out additional training or have a healthy conversation with your leadership about how others are achieving excellent productivity and quality in the same area? I know that you will find countless individuals who would be willing to provide help at any time if you need it. At Ensemble, we are open to improving all areas of the company, including our communication. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with specific examples, and better yet, examples and proposals for solutions to any problem as you perceive them. We are open and welcome to having a conversation at any time. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Please reach out directly at any time with your personal story at askjudson@ensemblehp.com or tellshannon@ensemblehp.com and let’s discuss your perception and experience together.
