Pros

A few. Learned how to actually sell products( Extra Insurance) to customers. Learned customer servicer skills and how to deal with hostile customers, which there were quite a few of.

Cons

Just stating the facts here. Seems like everyone has consumed the green cool aide and all is well. Here's what really goes on. The hours are horrible. 7:30am to 6:30pm. The pay is low. I averaged $10.70 an hour. You are renting, shuffling and washing cars. You will also be making phone calls to collect money form people. They don't tell you that in the job description either. You will probably have to work a short shift every other Saturday. The higher ups make all the money while the lower peons work very hard to bring in the money. If you work at certain branches, your life will be miserable. Non stop work, crummy pay and not a moment to think. Upper management is a joke. They are glorified baby sitters. I found many who talk down to you. Why? they can fire you or you'll quit and some idiot who doesn't know any better will take your place until they flame out and the process is repeated. The extra insurance you HAVE to sell is a joke. It's useless. Almost all of it is pure profit for the company. You are ranked on it, so you have to sell it. Don't drink the green collide. I found Enterprise managers lie to you from the first interview on. It was a good stepping stone, but I left after an absolute burnout. You have to put in years of work to start making any money. Not a long term solution. Not a good job to raise a family on. I was also in management. The Skills test wasn't bad. The all day "Grill" to even be considered for management was a joke. It seemed like a Fraternity hazing more than anything. No one should be locked in a room with two managers for 2 hours berating you with different scenarios. Unbelievable. I almost quit on the spot because it was just so mind blowing. Yes, I did pass and go into management. These are the facts man. I worked very hard at ERAC. I'm sure someone on this site will try to shun this post and say it isn't true, but I lived the nightmare that was ERAC. Oh, and " Andy" the founder is just that. The founder. He's not a god or the pope. Stop using his name in tests and questioning from management. What a joke.

Pros

-After EMP referals, Car Sale Referals and commission i made 50,000 in 2013 -Some of the people you work with are great. -Always something new to do everyday -Upper management for the most part are great people

Cons

-Washing Cars -being told to "withhold" all truth from the customer so to get them to buy more insurance -After your 1st Year you are forgotten. It's great management training, just no career -I'm relatively good at sales but if you struggle make sure you are ready to be fired -I noticed someone getting promoted quickly in the company and realized she was questionably close to the male management. She also has been responsible for "snitching" on others at her level to get ahead -50,000 is good yes but the amount of work is not worth it. -HOURS 730a-6pm and you are there the whole time -HOURS you will work 55-60 hrs.... if you have a spouse or children, they wont see you. -LIKE A JUICER it sounds bad but they suck the life out of you and work you so much you cant interview anywhere else -You will have to compromise your morals, character and personality I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS BEFORE I STARTED. I WOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN THE JOB. GLAD I CAN PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE BUT I'VE COMPROMISED SO MUCH.

Pros

Company is a positive environment, very transparent. They do offer bonuses for their call center employees with caveats. Work from home! Excellent team managers. Company is very fun to work for. The company isn't the thing that will wear on you, it's the customers.

Cons

Abysmal pay structure (11.10 for 6 months). Bonus structure is subject to change. Bonus structure heavily favors day time employees, as a night worker there are times you will get less than 5 calls an hour and need to make 1650 a month to bonus. Customers are horrible. People act like three year olds if you don't give them a discount that doesn't exist. Customers expect you to plan their trip for them. Customers expect you to look up their company discounts; you can't most of the time. If you have a tough schedule it may not change even if your performance is good enough to warrant a new schedule as it's easier to keep someone in a position than to have someone else take it. As an RSR you are the first line of defense with customer complaints, so have thick skin. Transferring calls to the call center managers are frowned upon. Beyond reservations opportunities for growth in a remote position are nearly non-existent.
