Pros

The company is growing without cost to company values. The challenges keep coming but I keep learning and getting opportunities to grow. The culture is second to none.

Cons

Because of the acquisitions, things keep changing but I am okay with it

Thanks for the review and it's great that you are enjoying the culture and are learning. You are right high growth with acquisitions means a lot of change. Growth is exciting; change can be challenging. If you have ideas about how we can improve, we'd love to hear them!

Pros

This is not a place for people to come and just exist; its a place for those that want to have a meaningful career and impact but want to work for it. I love seeing people advance that really deserve it rather than those that get the benefits for just being an employee. Drillinginfo is going through some rapid growth, and with the expected challenges, but the overall direction and leadership is fantastic. The people that work here really care about their fellow team members and the clients they serve. Nothing like I have ever seen.

Cons

Going through a lot of acquisitions can be challenging and it is, but they are the right decisions and when integrated will be hugely impactful.

Your review is accurate and should be helpful for people who are looking for a challenging career. Your comments are thoughtful. I'd agree communication can always be better. I also agree lots of acquisitions can be challenging but appreciate that you recognize what the benefit is of all this growth. I think this is right on the money: "This is not a place for people to come and just exist; its a place for those that want to have a meaningful career and impact but want to work for it. Thanks for providing quality and balanced feedback in a sea of negativity for people who don't want to embrace an incredible future ahead.

Pros

Nice view if you're in main Austin office. I got to wear jeans.

Cons

Very poor compensation. Weak communication. (Always vague and generic.) Little room for growth or advancement, promotions or bonuses. Boys' club. Almost no diversity. At best, technologically, an unorganized mess with crummy legacy. Products lack focus and quality because they're all cobbled and hacked together without a coherent vision, constantly changing directions, architects, and requirements. Acquisitions are not integrated, merely stapled on. That goes for offices and cultures, as well as software. Sales has no leash while tech has no chops nor leadership. High turnover. Ethics of the industry overall are dubious—and you're expected to cheer 'em on! Just stay away. If you're looking to work here, you can do better.

Unfortunately, this review just isn't truthful. Good candidates look at Glassdoor, read this and it biases their view from proceeding and making their own decisions. It's too bad Glassdoor becomes a forum for disgruntled employees rather than a space where a candidate learns constructive feedback about his or her potential new home. -- Let me tell you about my own experience at Drillinginfo. I joined as a contractor to project manage an acquisition. You see Drillinginfo is a high growth company -- both organically and inorganically. It was a short couple of weeks before I knew I wanted to make this my next career move. The reasons? 1. the people. I work with an amazing group of people across many different teams. Intelligent. Have your back. Fun. 2. I learn something every day. Our industry is incredibly interesting. The work is smart. There's always some new challenge to take on. I thrive in that type of environment. 3. The culture. Our culture is one where people are encouraged to take on new challenges, to contribute their views. And we have fun doing it. -- Our leadership team really believes in the power of engaged employees and prioritizes initiatives to improve engagement. Highly engaged employees and incredibly happy customers are foundational to our growth and our success. Our employee engagement score is nearing world class for tech companies at our size. The data doesn't lie. -- Do we have areas to improve? Of course we do. But what company doesn't. In my own area we are challenged with how we scale for growth, how to continue to accommodate the growing needs of the business. But we love what we do. We know we make an impact and we enjoy working with each other. -- Those who thrive at Drillinginfo are people who love fast pace and high growth and who seize the day. There have been many people who have craved their paths and have grown their careers over their time at Drillinginfo. Our sales team, for example, has a tremendous track record for promoting from within. Our product team has had many people move into new areas because of an interest. Acquisitions have expanded our reach to 15 locations worldwide and nearly 1000 employees with ample opportunities across the organization and geographies. I am more challenged than I have ever been and that's rewarding. I'm excited to come to work. I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this company. I made my decision on my own. And if you are smart you will make your own decisions too.
