Pros

Teammates can be nice to work with, at times a strong team environment

Cons

Unstable and toxic environment. Upper management is scrambling and its trickles down. Lack of training for personal and professional growth, everything is a last min scramble . Long hours

Pros

There are certainly some talented individuals who work for this company and the work is interesting. There are definitely lots of opportunities for different types of medical communications work (pubs, strategy, competitive intelligence, for example, and much, much more). I truly enjoyed working with my coworkers. I will say that their vacation benefits are very generous, I would argue much more so than other companies I have worked for.

Cons

There is no question that they will try to get you for as cheap as possible. While I understand this is partly business, the offers are more often than not horrifically lower than the standard. I've read many of their responses where they claim a competitive salary/benefits package. While I'm sure this is true for people who know what they're doing when it comes down to negotiating a salary, for many others it is far from the case. Eventually, these folks figure out that they are being underpaid and they leave the company, which can be extremely disruptive to the team as a whole. In several cases it appears that people have had to leave the company and come back in order to secure a reasonable paycheck. When salary issues are brought up with management, they like to remind you of bonuses (which should be just that, a BONUS, not something you can count on) and stock options, which may or may not be exercisable. Not to mention that other companies offer these benefits as well. And they really don't want their employees talking to each other or really getting any information on salary from anywhere except for them. I personally was told by a lead that an employee "needs to stop looking at Glass Door." Aside from salary, I found the HR department to be very unresponsive. When I needed something from them, whether it be form of some kind, a question to be answered, anything, I inevitably had to email 5 or 6 times before receiving a response. And in many cases, I found information they provided to be inaccurate. They NEVER answer their phone.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. We care deeply about the value of our employees and try our very best to meet the needs of each one. Currently, HR is working on gaining additional resources for their team to ensure that there is full support for employees and the business. We recognize that this was an area of weakness for quite some time and do sincerely apologize for the frustrations it may have caused you. In fact, we are about to add our 4th HR team member to the Envision Phamily that will be located in our Philly office to provide additional HR support and recruiting efforts. As for salary concerns, we have received this complaint before and fully recognize that there needs to be a refreshed market evaluation of salaries within the organization. This is something that we are happy to discuss with employees individually as it is highly private information based on many contributing factors. We like to take pride in the culture of Envision, where a work-life balance weighs heavily on retention, but the daily interactions and people who make up the organization are the true contributors of why employees come back. We simply hope and strive to create an atmosphere that encourages creativity and drives many forms of success. We hope that you find success in all of your future endeavors and that our paths may cross again in the future.
