      A truly awful company to work for

      Pros

      I’m genuinely struggling to think of any positives; I suppose it’s not as bad if you work from home, or are a remote worker – you will at least be sheltered from the poisonous atmosphere of the office. The interview was conducted in a welcoming and informal way. The regular employees and Personnel Department are friendly and approachable.

      Cons

      The senior management are aggressive with very poor communication or involvement. The company has been successful because of the hard work of the Writers and in spite of the leadership, who are very low grade. Writers are worked ridiculously hard, for below average salaries. The senior management talk a good talk (eg look at the CEO video online – it’s a joke!) but in reality just squeeze the employees by creating a culture of fear and intimidation. They don't want employees to contribute ideas or be involved and want to run the company the way they have always run the company, making Writers work harder and harder. Don't be fooled by the initial welcome, I wish I had headed the very negative review that was already on here about them, because that turned out to be true. A number of people felt bullied and mistreated. There is no training or career advancement

Our Human Resources department takes all complaints and concerns very seriously when it comes to respect and treatment among team members. We have been taking action in developing and implementing camaraderie based programs to ensure that all employees feel welcomed, appreciated and valued for the work they do in addition to the ideas they contribute. Our open door policy with management as well as human resources encourages employees to express areas of concern in order to prevent scenarios such as this from occurring.       Pros

      Excellent work flexibility (can work anywhere in the country or in select office locations). Bonuses and other rewards are generous. In general, employees feel valued.

      Cons

      Due to the work at home culture, there is not much camaraderie in the offices, which are very quiet and lack the social atmosphere that most people desire. Advancement is slow and job titles do not quite align with other companies in the industry.

We are currently in the process of developing and implementing a new program for all of our new employees within their first year with us here at EPG to ensure that camaraderie is present within and outside of the offices. As you mentioned, this is a very important aspect to maintain if we wish to keep the valued employees that we have as well as bringing on new Phamily members.

Our packages include heath, vision, dental and life insurance along with a 401k and bonus opportunity on an annual basis.
