Pros

Salary, Benefits, Health Insurances, Flexible times.

Cons

Tim has a long-term vision, but this doesn't ripple down as the company works with chaotic chain of command. Most departments are driven by engineering directors with short-term vision (rarely beyond 6 month), leading to inefficiencies and tech-debt. Many intermediate decisions aren't user-centered, but a default non-choice for the benefit of some cowboy programmers let loose with toxic egos, dismissive attitudes and poor product design skills.

Pros

- fantastic health benefits - well-known company - professional development budget

Cons

- Unrealistic and uncommunicated expectations - extreme lack of resources - micromanaged and condescended to one minute, then left stranded the next. No support from upper management - Zero effective onboarding - Lots of mistruths and constant changes of focus

Pros

- Medical Benefits are second to none! Everything is covered and the total annual deductible is like $100 I think - Pay is very high for the region / similar roles - Quarterly Bonuses - these are discretionary so it is not clear what affects it. The executive team can change this on a whim so even getting a very strong performance review can lead to your bonus dropping if the executive team votes that your department gets a lesser percentage of the pool/funds - People are great and the stuff you work on is fun

Cons

- Executive team does not set goals to stay flexible enough to pivot the company to keep up with the Video Game industry which can lead to a lot of confusion at times - Executive team is weak in my opinion... a lot of "idea guys" not the right people to execute and deliver - Tim is a visionary but it is not clear if he can evolve Epic Games beyond just a gaming company into a Metaverse company - Tim is so focused on ensuring developers and gamers are treated well that it leads to Epic Games not monetizing its products to their full extent which hinders the growth and stability of the company
