Pros

I would like to say Thank you to Epitec For locating me a Great JOB! but that's where the fondness stops! I enjoy working for the company that I am contracted to but I don't Care for doing it Through Epitec. Hind sight may be 20/20, but I felt really let down by there employment practices. I should have shopped around for a competing employment agency. Before taking there offer.

Cons

I had High Hopes for Epite, after all of the Pushing and pushing to get all of the paper work done it was a big RUSH, my stare day was on a Monday a gave two weeks noticed to my former employer but when Friday afternoon rolled around I received a call from my recureter informing me that they needed to push my start day out a week and a half! Also take note the you will be going for at lest 4 weeks with out a paycheck. for me it was 6 weeks. Epitec did give me a small advance of $1000.00 (before taxes) at least I could buy grocery, I am single parent and this was a Major Mistake on there part. Befits looked good on paper until I was employed, less the a month the my cost of my health care went up $200.00 a month. (not a happy camper) even thought Its in my contract for a set price. When I called my recruiter and left voice mail after voice mail I got no response! once I was in the system I got no call backs from her. so when I call the HR folks there comment was " yes that increase took us all by surprise" Wages were a another item all together, I gave them a range to go for and they brought me in at the bottom and I was told that, that's the best they could do. after I have been working for a month I got a coworker for my former employer. we were making the same wage, however after he was on boarded I found out he wage was $10,000.00 more. same job, same skills. if I make it through my 1 year contract I will be looking for some major renegotiation. This can be a major factor for anyone who cannot go that long between pay days, One last item Make sure you get a list of the Holidays from the company you will be employed with I was off the Dec 18th until the 5th of January and received 3 days of holiday pay. Sure they offed me my vacation time but this sucks.

Pros

Epitec has a great reputation in the IT industry and with the clients it services. The compensation is also very competitive. The Epitec team is incredibly communicative every step of the way. From he interview process to answering whatever questions you may have down the line.

Cons

The time-off policies are okay. However, there are several client holidays that are unpaid from Epitec. I've had over two weeks of unpaid time-off due to the lack of alignment between Epitec and the site I'm at. The benefits significantly changed within three months of me joining the company resulting in my deductible increasing from $500 to $2500. I'm not aware of any promotion structure without having some serious tenure. My view of the company is to

Pros

Epitec provides its employees with a clean environment and up-to-date software. Also Epitec provides an initial training for those individuals who do not know what recruiting is. Additionally lunches are provided during this training.

Cons

Epitec's biggest issues are with it's company culture and values. Often recruiters are told to withhold the truth if not out right lie to its candidates in the effort to string them along for "possible" future opportunities. Additional culture and value concerns include inappropriate language that is not only used while in department meetings but also in its company wide meetings, employees can be immediately let go if they have bring up negative concerns of a co-worker or the company itself, and last but not least a look of it's employees being very much dispensable. If you are considering working for this organization there are a couple items to take into account. First I would not recommend leaving a position of employment as it provides zero stability based on Epitec's view of its employees. Second one should consider their own morality as you will be selling people as your "product" not an inanimate object. And last but not least one should know that Epitec does instruct one of its internal departments to posting bogus positive posts on sites such as this in an attempt to cover-up their high and negatively oriented turn-over.
