Pros

-Depending on the team you are on they are supportive -Good Entry Level job in the recruiting field

Cons

So while Epitec is a good place to work fresh out of college I wouldn't recommend you stay more than a year or so. The fact is that this company is all about numbers. It is truly a sales position and they push you to meet those numbers. While not every account manager is bad depending on the team you go on you are screwed. Lots of managers micromanage you and are constantly looking down at your numbers while some will support you. I have had the opportunity to work on several teams. A lot of the account managers are a bit clicky and if they don't like you they make it very hard for you to stay on their team. I have witnessed an account manager bully someone into quitting. The managers are also not prepared to train you. Like I said depending on the team you will learn and grow well at Epitec. The training sucks. You spend a few weeks learning things sure but then you are deployed and see how woefully unprepared you are for the position. Technically your account manager is supposed to continue training you but some account managers don't even know how to recruit so unless you reach out to other recruiters you are stuck. Thankfully I met a team of good recruiters and would call them and they showed me things I never even learned in training. It's so weird that half of the account managers don't even know how to train their own recruiters. Some of them look down on you as well. They say Epitec is a place where you can reach out to your managers or even your CEO and again in some cases it's true I have had a chance to speak with a high-up manager Rebecca and while a bit intimidating she gets things done. I have on the other hand reached out to account managers who ignore me or leave me on read. While I understand some of them are busy it's ridiculous how much you are ignored. They also preach about diversity here and let me tell you more than 85% of the staff are white and while they mean well some of them are so detached from the issues people of color face they can be insensitive most of the people here are privileged hell some of the higher up management golf together and all they talk about are private schools and vacations things they earned off our backs. There is also the pay I worked here for a few years and there are recruiters that just come in and are making more money than I am. I have been moved around to different teams and was stuck with a manager that couldn't bother to train me and did not respond to my messages and good luck with HR because the managers there are just as stuck up they have the nice polite HR tone but it's the things that they don't say that really get to you. The manager I worked under made my life such a nightmare I spoke to other managers about her and they just shrugged it off like "that's how she is". I worked under this manager for only a few weeks and yet somehow while giving me a performance review and I was denied a raise that was promised to me for my efforts before I moved to that team. Imagine being praised and recognized for your efforts and being promised something only to have someone that has only known you for a few weeks tell you that you are inadequate at your job and won't be getting a raise. On top of that, I recommended a few of my old college acquaintances to work at Epitec and some were getting paid 10k more than me! This place has made me feel bitter and tired and stressed out. Not to mention the crazy GPA requirements they have for you to work here. They really mean it when they say they want someone with a 3.0. Then the managers are judgy they make fun of people that have been in the service industry even though plenty of recruiters that worked in restaurants are thriving here. Oh and you better read the contract you signed!!! They will sue you. They are in the process of suing serval people now (I'm sure we aren't even supposed to know people are being sued but the managers here are gossips! We hear everything that's going on heck get a few drinks in some of them and the things you will hear smh) that left to go work at places that are paying them way more money!! I mean they are offering 40k for you to run yourself ragged when most places can offer you 55k and up with just a year of experience. SHAME ON YOU EPITEC.

A $10,000 pay difference may result from the commission pay, incentive pay, or the employee's applicable job experience and capability. A 3.0 GPA or higher is required for Recruiters because understanding and applying technical concepts presents a hardship for lower GPAs. Most of Epitec's recruiters, managers, and senior leaders have service and retail experience. Service experience is revered and present in many of our successful team members in all positions of the company. I would encourage any Epitec employee that is not getting a response from their manager or that is having difficulty with training to reach out to me directly. Please email me at mjruma@epitec.com

Remote Work from home Not working in office

Cons

Micromanaging to the extremes “Data Driven” Insane turnover rate Have you ever been taking the trash out and then someone stops you and tells you “hey take the trash out” then you lose all motivation to do it because now it is no longer your own work. That is basically what working here was like. Then after that you can be a part of teams meetings where the head of the department belittles and bullies individuals for mistakes they may not even have made yet. There is something to worry about at a company when they have an internal recruiting staff that hires for them and their numbers never go over 150. This job looks good on a resumè and you can gain some experience from it but at the cost of your sanity and pride.

Epitec monitors performance closely. Our clients and employees demand a fast and full response. Epitec is a quick-paced environment, and we are "data driven." Data-driven decisions are normally perceived by most employees and customers to be a "Pro." Epitec has a culture of providing training and knowledge to build skills therefore, it is counter to Epitec's culture to belittle or bully. Please email me directly at mjruma@epitec.com and provide further specific details. I'd like to understand what happened with you during your brief employment with the company.
