Pay is awful...if you are married it's okay, but it is not feasible for a single person to survive on this salary.

Good hours, benefits, Health care, dental, eye. Learning ongoing , meet interesting people with different backgrounds, can be rewarding helping people. FREE 3 DAY STRESS MNGMT RETREAT

Cons

Administration Changes with political elections, employee pays for their own disability insurance; few promotions offered. Training needed in Diversity. Employee Safety measures could be improved when working with general public

Pros

The County is full of good people that care about what they are doing. There's always work to be done so it is easy to stay busy.

Cons

Erie County, Pennsylvania has some of the lowest paid county employees in the state. I had to balance two jobs while working there.
