      Excellent benefits such as dental, vision, health. Great time off package.

      Cons

      Very political, pay is just above poverty for clerical, but too much for any kind of welfare benefits. Favoritism runs rampant. Union.

      Pros

      Benefits. The only reason to stay in a job there is for the paid vacation, sick and personal time plus the paid health and dental insurance.

      Cons

      Everything else. Administration is horrible. Very much like being back in high school. The people are very unprofessional and catty. Plus you have to pay for parking

      -Flexible hours (you can pick and choose what days/hours you're available) -Few surprises (no crazy or impossible tasks get thrown at ya) -Friendly staff members

      Cons

      -Low pay -LOTS OF FAVORITISM -Tasks are dull and repetitive -Perfectly good books frequently "recycled' due to lack of space and/or management doesn't care enough to have them donated to institutions (i.e. school libraries, nursing homes) that would love to take them -No room for advancement -Dirty and poorly maintained building (broken sinks in faculty restrooms, stains everywhere) -Poorly secured (occasionally find homeless sleeping in stairwells) -Very loud (compared to suburban libraries)
