Top Level hospital to work as an RN

Pros

High acuity patients, excellent education, skilled doctors, great interdisciplinary teamwork, competitive pay, great company culture, patient focused, leadership is very engaged with staff.

Cons

Patient flow through the hospital from admission to discharge is sometimes slowed down by lack of floor bed availability. Leadership is working hard to improve this, but this is the busiest hospital in town so it's a difficult situation.

People to explain things to you, staff are knowledgeable, and everyone is friendly.

Cons

I don't think there was enough time spent on training for more than the very basic needs of the job. And for a department with specialized subtypes knowing more than the basics would have been a benefit.
