      Pros

      Paid time off is outstanding, good benefits, diversity , healthy lifestyle programs, lots of vendor supplied lunches, no weekends, average pay

      Cons

      company is changing focus on industries served, lots of changes at the top, recent voluntary and involuntary retirements, micro management of inside sales position, tons of turnover in customer care that lead to new people still learning how to handle customer issues, often times incorrectly. Severe issues with deliveries to accounts that are small, remote or not a partner level account

      Pros

      Better than making minimum wage, good benefits, employee discount and chances for philanthropy were always available. Sometimes got to piggyback sales perks

      Cons

      They move heaven and earth for sales... Do not give a crap about Care. The care department does ALL the heavy lifting, while sales just does whatever they want.

      Pros

      Over my many years with Essendant / United Stationers, I met and worked with many talented people and developed lasting relationships.

      Cons

      Though I am sure this is true with every large organizations, dysfunction was a constant presence. "Too many chiefs, too few Indians"; work share was not proportional; little to no value was placed in loyalty.
