Culture was amazing, work life balance, team environment, time off, and overall quality of work is great,

Cons

Upward mobility is slow, compensation could be better, and the new interim CEO. He's ruining the culture Essendant used to be known for. I would give him 0 stars but Essendant would have been 5 stars if he didn't come in. Employee benefits are being cut.

Pros

Over my many years with Essendant / United Stationers, I met and worked with many talented people and developed lasting relationships.

Cons

Though I am sure this is true with every large organizations, dysfunction was a constant presence. "Too many chiefs, too few Indians"; work share was not proportional; little to no value was placed in loyalty.

This company is pure Corporate. There is no advocate for hourly employees if you have a complaint to take to HR.You are wrong...Bottom Line. They don't care about their people.Just covering up crap.
