Pros
Set schedule, weekends off, weekly paychecks, vacation days accumulate quickly, overtime frequently available, opportunities to learn multiple warehouse functions and to gain experience operating different types of material handling equipment.
Cons
The hiring process is needlessly lengthy and complicated. The costs of the health benefits packages offered by the company have skyrocketed while the quality has taken a nosedive. The job itself is very physically demanding and full of safety hazards, yet management alternates between consistently demanding increases in productivity while simultaneously stressing the importance of a safe work environment, without giving adequate pay raises to those of us who go above and beyond in exceeding performance requirements and maintaining perfect attendance. As a result, the turnover rate among warehouse employees in this facility is by far the worst I've ever seen.
