Pros

Set schedule, weekends off, weekly paychecks, vacation days accumulate quickly, overtime frequently available, opportunities to learn multiple warehouse functions and to gain experience operating different types of material handling equipment.

Cons

The hiring process is needlessly lengthy and complicated. The costs of the health benefits packages offered by the company have skyrocketed while the quality has taken a nosedive. The job itself is very physically demanding and full of safety hazards, yet management alternates between consistently demanding increases in productivity while simultaneously stressing the importance of a safe work environment, without giving adequate pay raises to those of us who go above and beyond in exceeding performance requirements and maintaining perfect attendance. As a result, the turnover rate among warehouse employees in this facility is by far the worst I've ever seen.

Pros

They are really good about working with you when time off is needed. You also get 2.5 weeks of paid time off to start which goes up every 5 years.

Cons

Upper management has become quite dysfunctional over the past few years. There has been a steady decline in support and consistency. Also, people are quitting left and right and management still cannot figure out that they are the issue.

Pros

Great co-workers at the associate level. A few decent managers. Nice facility with cafeteria and walking paths. Work-from-home flexibility.

Cons

Managers without corresponding education and experience in management roles. Lots of "it's not what you know, it's who you know." No opportunity to advance or build new skills. Too many re-orgs. Morale is low and nothing is being done to change it. Pay not equivalent to similar jobs in Chicago market.
