Very strict Covid protocols

Pros

I appreciate them looking out for their employees, trying not to spread Covid-19. They just moved to a very nicely renovated office building in Appleton right next to the airport. It’s very modern and has a European feel.

Cons

I’ve been working at the company for a few years now and have yet to work in the office due to their strict Covid rules. They do require you to be vaxed which has resulted in the loss of quite a few employees lately. There are very early meetings due to working internationally.

Pros

Work life balance Nice Colleagues Good 401k Good for someone who isn't looking for promotions.

Cons

More Europe centric, very limited opportunities in the IT department for the employees in North America. everyone in US IT team reports to some manager in Germany/Sweden. No Director/Sr.manager level IT employee in US. Very limited scope for upward movement. No Remote working option, still believes everyone to be in office even though proved ourselves working remote for the last 2 years. Very poor healthcare benefits.

Pros

Fairly competitive in a struggling market/business. Looking to grow business organically through higher margin products. Senior Management is relatively accessible.

Cons

Poor overall benefits package. Demands loyalty to company but does not reciprocate. Vision for future of company is not focused. Low margins resulting from excess industry capacity is driving deep personnel reductions. Company touts 5 basic principles designed to create positive, high-performing work environment, but senior leadership doesn't "walk the walk".

Thank you for your honest review. We appreciate that you recognize our company is competitive and looking to grow our business. Senior management accessibility is something we can take great pride in for a company our size. We understand your concerns. As you know, our industry is fast-paced and often unpredictable. While we do our best to adapt and continue on a positive trajectory, we can be forced to make tough decisions. It is our responsibility to communicate those decisions as clearly, transparently and quickly as possible, and we apologize if you feel we have missed the mark. We take this feedback seriously and will continue our efforts to improve. Essity provides a very competitive total rewards package that is very generous including up to 9.5% 401K company contribution, generous bonus potential, and full benefit package from first day of employment (in the USA).
