Pros

If there's any integrity or little trust I had left with the leadership of this company, they are gone now along with all these fake 5 star reviews.

Cons

Not only did the leadership of this company lay off majority of the senior employees to offshore critical operations to cheap labors in India, now they are asking employees who survived the layoff to leave fake 5-star reviews here to balance off the bad reviews, which honestly is so pathetic and immature. Instead of focusing on getting the company back on track, they are more worried about hiding what ppl said about the mistakes they made. Just do a quick search on LinkedIn or check out other non 5-star reviews left here, you will see why there's currently a mass exodus of employees who are leaving voluntarily after seeing how untrustworthy the leaderships are. Seriously, anyone with an IQ of 10 can see through those fake reviews. If you are serious about your career and don't want to see it get completely jeopardized by immature/incompetent leaderships, DON'T GO TO THIS COMPANY!! You have been warned.

Pros

Has some smart people and it's backed by reputable investors who won't let it fail. Most people are kind and will provide you support if you ask for it.

Cons

There's a lack of trust between teams and leadership tends to be either inexperienced--the founders are young and basically talking heads for the board--or overly aggressive. The whole tech org informally answers to the big personalities on Product, which constantly pushes changes that are ineffective or buggy. This creates busy work for engineers and does little to move the needle. Many folks are frustrated and stretched too thin, as well as afraid that their jobs will be off-shored to India. Four rounds of layoffs in the past year have also dealt a blow to company morale, and there has been a gradual trickle of employees leaving or searching for work. Change is inevitable in a startup, but for a company that's been around for more than 7 years, Ethos feels shockingly behind in terms of quality of leadership and technology.
