Pros

Fairly competitive compensation and benefits

Cons

Be very aware!!! Things were going well for me until I reported to my manager about a colleague that was bullying and harassing and creating a hostile work environment. I was told I was over-reacting and then terminated without notice or reason 2 days later. My email was then immediately turned off so I could not access the harassing messages that I was being sent. Also, there used to be several one-star reviews on this site that are now gone. Something fishy is clearly going on.

Pros

Company is growing really fast and there’s a lot to work on. Lots of opportunities to dive in and take ownership. People are also very friendly, smart, and hardworking. A lot of internal processes and structure already in place. Great onboarding experience.

Cons

Honestly haven’t encountered any so far.

Pros

If you join now, you really are getting on to a rocket ship. Ethos is poised to grow a ton and what we have done is so disruptive, it will not be easy for other startup or incumbent competitors to slow us down. It is also clear we are able to hire very talented employees now because everyone can see the potential, so you'll be joining a strong team. If you want to make an impact in a high growth startup, Ethos is where it's at.

Cons

It's a startup, so there has been lots of instability along the way, but leadership team is showing an increasing commitment to mature with that growth. Overall, some major problems were acknowledged recently, which really clear the way for the company to go into it's next phase of growth. I do think at times you have to have some sharp elbows. If you know what the right decision is and you are the subject matter expert, you still need to take a strong stance to make sure your opinion is heard. I think leadership team is doing a better and better job of listening to team members and not overruling them, but that has historically been a challenge at Ethos.
