Pros

Good Pay, the grunts of the place are really nice people to work with.

Cons

Management is a nightmare and has no problem working you 12-16 hours a day. | Cut the majority of the benefits with no real compensation. Back to the office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Managers power trip and micro manage. Has the work hard play hard/we're a family mentality, so they can abuse their workers and make them feel like they're the problem. If you're on the lower end of the levels, they tend to work those workers the hardest. Purging most of the contractors and expecting people to pick up the pieces within a few days.

Mediocre company to work for

Pros

You get a paycheck, and there's plenty of work (probably too much).

Cons

Company hard limits raises to between 2.5% to 3.0%. So going from a new engineer with no experience, to a licensed engineer with a PE (after 4 years) you can expect your pay to go up by about 12%, (1+0.03)^4, despite being worth way more. At that point you'll have to leave the company to get fairly compensated, Evergy wants it this way.
