Technology is way behind Merger was bumpy, but improved Management communications declined after merger Tough corporate ladder to climb

Pros

One can work one or tow days a week with no fear of being fired.

Cons

Micromanagement to the extreme. Everything one does in monitored in one way or another. Good work it not rewarded. The workplace atmosphere and the culture within the company it toxic. There are more or less tow companies, Northeast Utilities and NStar. Most of, if not all of, the upper management is NStar people, and they are bean counters and not employee friendly. They also like to outsource so no job is safe.
