Pros
Not many to speak of. Being a monopoly provides a small sense of security and many interesting issues to tackle. Company is relatively large and provides some opportunities to move around.
Cons
Senior management is unable to leverage strength and creativity of its staff. There is a clear sense of command and control for a management style. If you simply say yes and follow directions without question, you'll probably do okay. But don't count on any loyalty in return - the company strategy is to cut people every year.
