Pros

The branch managers do try to work around schedules and know family is important. They do care about the members of the credit union as well.

Cons

Feels like most banks, sales sales sales. And it feels like the higher ups don't care about their lower level employees in the branches. Back office though is a thousand times better. They don't promote from the branches very often though. Tried multiple times over 5 years to get promoted elsewhere and though multiple opportunities kept arising they kept hiring from the outside.

Touch many different projects, collaboration with other departments is common.

Cons

Projects are slow to finish due to holds on certain security measures due to being in the financial sector.
