Pros

Their checks don't bounce. Truly.

Cons

Zero transparency about the direction of the company. Layoffs every quarter... four rounds of layoffs so far since Sep 2017. Death by attrition... more than half of the Asheville office has been laid off since Ziff Davis bought the company. There are less than half the number of employees here than when we were part of Everyday Health. Ziff Davis doesn't actually speak to the employees... they relay messages to us through their underlings making updates about the company meaningless. Vivek Shah, who was promotoed to CEO of j2global (the large multinational that is responsible for all of the chaos in Asheville) refuses to even visit and learn about what Asheville does. He is the reason so many have lost their jobs. When you treat good employees like trash, they leave.
