Pros

The location is great. An easy commute to the heart of the village on the Westside within walking distance to the river. It's a 'health company' so the kitchen is always stocked with freebies.

Cons

- Too much politics - Indecisive project managers and VPs who make unrealistic demands and last minute scope changes. - A typical, big corporation with a two class system.

Pros

Some wonderfully brilliant folks work there. Products are innovative, and company is committed to growth.

Cons

Best accounts taken, so fight for scraps and be prepared to have them change their tune after you're on board. They want sales and rest of the team in the NYC office every day (even from Philly, etc), client entertaining often till late into the night. Zero work/life balance.

Pros

-Smart, friendly ( in some departments), hard working people -Great location in Tribeca/Soho -Unlimited PTO ( but this is debatable as to whether it's a pro or not depending on what department you're in and who your manager is) -Sometimes challenging work & you can learn lots if you're on the right project.

Cons

-Technology is a mess due to the fact that sales calls the shots -Too top heavy management wise so there's at times 'in fighting' over which tasks need to be done next to gain revenue for the department/company. -Priorities sometimes change from one hour to the next causing chaos and confusion -The micro-managing mentality can be rampant and has caused and will cause people to leave. The turnover (especially in technology) has been unreal in the past year or two.
