Pros

Free Fruit and a nice location in the West Village

Cons

Constant layoffs and a tons of people leaving voluntarily. You get the sense that Ziff Davis knows nothing about the healthcare vertical. In the year since Ziff Davis acquired the company, we have heard from the CEO maybe once. Leadership did a good job at the acquisition announcement convincing us they would invest in their people, but it has become increasingly obvious that they are only about the bottom line. No transparency. No direction. No leadership. No investment in employees. Don't let the upcoming 5 star reviews padded by HR fool you. I don't see this company making a comeback.

Solid, but there are issues.

Pros

Location, free food, many good people

Cons

It seems very obvious that the new owners do not understand what they purchased. They're constantly saying how they have a plan, or are in the midst of a plan. How do you make the purchase without having some sort of idea BEFOREHAND? And thus, many good employees have no idea what they should be doing, or reporting to or possible advancement opportunities - and that's after 8+ months after the purchase! It just seems they're okay with placating the employees with a nice office and lots of snacks. There are also larger issues: there doesn't seem to be any accountability or process for HR-related claims. I know of several employees (male) who have 2-3+ instances of harassment claims against them, and yet nothing is done. And as such many employees won't move forward with claims because they know nothing will happen.

Pros

There are not any pros

Cons

Culture enforces management to care about their own careers only -- not about mentoring staff, not about product just their own salaries!
