Pros

1. Few people who really want to make an impact with the work they do 2. Noble mission (till it lasted)

Cons

1. Executive Leadership - They have no ethics. Everyone is just a number on the balance sheet. Misaligned incentives and the largest number of C-titles in the history of corporate America. A tactic used to keep a select few happy. The only title not yet awarded is Chief Janitor Officer. C-suite not held accountable for the dismal company performance and we are now questioning the role of the Board. Massive layoffs of people who are doers and at the same time massive non-doers promoted to C-title. How will those people live with their newly minted C-titles? 2. Talent(HR) - They claim to be a modern talent org. I would say they have no authority to keep a check on any wrongdoings happening in the company. They conveniently ignore exit interviews if they know that people will speak up negatively about their experience. Recent experiences with people and multitude of reviews here are a proof to that. 3. Office Rivalry and Politics- The Chicago office(ex Valence) were at the verge of bankruptcy and were not able to run a sustainable business with the worst IT systems ever. They now look down upon everything Evolent, are the worst bullies and have a toxic work culture. Evolent would have done better without Valence - financially and culturally. People emulate the leaders and it all starts at the top. 4. Misplaced definition of Diversity - What can you say when you need to artificially design your C-suite to have minority representation! You are doing a disservice to their credibility by doing so. The title needs to align with what they contribute to the company Vs I need a women in C-suite so let's promote (off-cycle). This style of diversity and inclusion does no good, just check your recent departure numbers. 5. A Health Company with No Chief Medical Officer

Pros

Unlimited PTO and great work from home policy

Cons

Micromanaging to the extreme. Very weak leadership. Executive team has zero experience outside of Evolent. Department heads are promoted with no knowledge or expertise in their area. Serious trust issues between workers and management. The culture is toxic. Extremely high turnover.

Pros

Benefits are extensive (including 6 health insurance options, pet health insurance, multi-tier dental/vision plans, occasional remote work, 25 days/year PTO, free tea/coffee/soda, etc.). Entry-level pay is market-competitive based on Glassdoor and LinkedIn market assessments. The company itself is well-positioned in the market and is highly responsive to the volatile value-based care market. Company and teams are innovation-, objectives-, and collaboration-oriented rather than stuck on competitive office politics or keeping the status quo, and this shows through everyday team interactions and the history of Evolent's analytics development. Analytics team follows through on its commitment to developing tech talent through extensive onboarding and skill training. The training is best for those comfortable with a high ratio of independent work, though teamwork and cross-department collaboration are critically important and strongly shape daily workflows.

Cons

None seen so far. The work/life balance seems reasonable (40-45 hours/week for exempt Analytics employees) for entry-level employees. The workplace may be challenging for those not used to routine independent learning and limited direction on tasks.
