Thank you for your your positive feedback with regard to work/life balance and job stability. We're sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the pay Exelon provides. We do strive to offer compensation and benefits that are competitive within both the utility sector and the broader industry. We regularly benchmark and review prevalent practices to ensure our Total Rewards package meets the needs of our employees and reflects market trends. Specifically, we evaluate each component of compensation—including base salary, bonuses, and long-term incentives— to ensure fairness and equity, while supporting our pay-for-performance philosophy. We are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment that fosters growth and development. Thank you again for posting your review.

Pros

Exelon has a great culture that values diversity and safety. It regularly gives back to the communities it is based in through employee donation campaigns and volunteerism.

Cons

As a contractor, opportunities to remain in Exelon and engage in ERGs are limited.

Pros

As with any utility, it's a stable place to be. You don't have to worry about getting fired, unless you go out of your way to do so. Some departments are better than others on work life balance. Try jumping around to find those who prioritize less meetings, and allowing more focus on getting work done. The people are generally nice and team oriented. This isn't the same at non-utility places.

Cons

A lot of people are checked out, especially the older folks. This isn't just with this company, but every company I have been at. A real shame, because some people want to make a difference, but are forced to work with those who don't really care due to factors such as low growth opportunities or near term retirement.
