Pros

There are none. Unless of course you hate going home. You like living at work and eating food not suitable for a toxic waste disposal drum. You enjoy the company of self centered mangers and coworkers who faintly worship them.

Cons

Long hours of mandatory overtime having to work with people who do not want to spend time at home. Often times forced to attend meetings that have nothing to do with your job. You are forced to stay over "in case something happens".

Pros

Very good benefits and compensation. The company is diversified across both regulated utility operations and deregulated generation and wholesale trading and retail supply/risk management activities.

Cons

The company has an extremely bloated management / corporate structure that in the current low priced gas and power environment is not sustainable in my view. They are a company that probably should be acquired - the potential cost savings by eliminating a bunch of corporate jobs that add little to no value would be easy pickings. The company cares so much about diversity, that it doesn't always promote based on merit in my view. The culture is one of title and hierarchy meaning more than competence, ability and work ethic.
