Pros

The internship program really allows you to get a good feel of the kinds of work that go on around the company. Shadowing other sites/jobs is encouraged. Employees are genuinely proud of the work they do with the company. Management makes an effort to meet the interns, hear their ideas, and answer their questions

Cons

A rarity, but some of the engineers talk down to the non-engineers.

Thank you for posting your review. One of Exelon's key groups we actively recruit for is campus/early outreach, so we recognize the importance of young people! We are happy to hear you have had a positive time with Exelon. Thanks again for your post!

Pros

As an intern, the company has impressed me on many levels. It has a great work environment, a lot of training and coaching, and a real interest in their employees.

Cons

Some of the work can get repetitive and boring, but there is always room for mobility within the company if you'd like to try out a new position.

My Experience as an intern

Pros

I have had the privilege to work at Exelon as an intern twice now and I am so grateful for the experience. Not only am I gaining so much knowledge about the company, but I'm also working with experienced employees in the field I desire. I am getting hands-on training, challenging assignments, and on-going mentor-ship. I truly value the opportunity.

Cons

The downsides include figuring out who to connect to in order to complete assignments. Sometimes there is a lack of communication of the steps that need to be taken before moving on to the next step of a project.
