Pros

This company is invested in your development and growth on an ongoing bases. There are opportunities to progress upward and across the company, The Flexibility (pay and time), PAY, Benefits (Too many to name), THE PEOPLE (I've worked for Corporate Security and currently work in Commercial IT, loved both teams). The relationships between Senior Management and employees, the culture is relaxed. There is an interest to get to know you pass your career objectives. They have positions for wherever you are in your career. You can go afar as you please (it's up to you). Location, the scenery and you're near everything.

Cons

I personally haven't found one. However, this is not so much a con as it is advice. I've had 4 managers since I've start on my current team. Adaptability is highly suggested. There's actually a lot of new processes, projects, changes in business structure, mergers and etc. Always contribute and give feedback to improve that when necessary. There's never a dull moment.

Pros

The pay and benefits are very good. In some business units there is a good deal of flexibility about work location and flexible work options such as work from home which fosters improved work life balance. Because Exelon is a large and diverse company there are good opportunities for career growth. Working for such a large and nationally recognized company provides a certain degree of job and financial stability that you can’t get from a smaller company or a startup. There is a strong emphasis on innovation throughout the company while at the same time remaining a stable and secure energy producing and providing company that continues to expand in the Energy market.

Cons

In lieu of in place promotions, one has to apply for a job opening to be promoted. This isn't all bad though because this promotes diversification of one's career and broadens you exposure and experience. While there is a high degree of focus on innovation and creativity, being such a large, diverse, well tenured company, change doesn't always happen quickly. If you are looking for a startup feel, fast paced, quickly changing, rapidly evolving company, Exelon may not be the best fit for you; however, those who demonstrate creativity and devise innovative solutions are recognized and appreciated.

Pros

Exelon is big on professional development. Training is encouraged. Opportunities are available if you are looking and willing to take them. I also enjoy the Diversity and Inclusion efforts that Exelon as a company promotes. We are strong in supporting community service.

Cons

As an employee there are many hats that need to worn. Time is valuable and things often take longer then you think. There are times the life work balance is hard to achieve.
