Cons

Innovation is a big opportunity for the company. Too much red tape and too many antiquated thought processes making the impactful decisions

Pros

The benefits are decent, and you get a pension in addition to your 401k.

Cons

Pay is extremely low compared to other positions in the industry. There are no talks of market adjustments, and we are instead told by our VP that "if we don't like it, leave". Impossible to attract and retain any talent due to the low pay, which results in very over worked situations. The company itself is no longer concerned with retaining internal employees, and would actually rather them leave to free up spending. Contractors are paid a premium, because its a completely different budget that does not affect profits. There are no benefits to being an internal employee. In addition to the low pay, abysmal "cost of living" adjustments every year, a large part of your salary is based on a bonus. The amount of the bonus, is reduced every single year "at the boards discretion" regardless of how well the company does, and how much the calculated bonus should actually be. Storm duty is required, and you are expected to drop everything you are doing or had planned, to go support storm. There is zero concern for your own family's requirements at this time, and if you do decline storm duty, your name will be tarnished and you will be publicly shamed via email in front of your regions leaders. Completely obsessed with DE&I, and will only acknowledge individuals and contracts if you are considered "diverse" per Exelons definition. Work from home was fantastic, and worked well for 2 straight years. Management is now forcing people to go to the office, which is based completely on their "feelings" and opinion of what work should look like.

Pros

Stable, work is not too complex

Cons

too much work and no help from management, if your seeking a company for being new out of school its a great place, there is no growth here unless you want to go to management. 0-15 years experience is the only range covered by the development plan, after that, plan to not get a raise and plan to stay stagnate.
