Great company if you like repetitiveness and co-workers who hate their jobs

Pros

Good salary out of college

Cons

Company likes to talk about innovation but there is nothing innovative about Exelon. To find drawings you need to search them physically and you could spend two hours looking for simple things. Work environment sucks as most people who work there only do so for the money. Too bureaucratic and management gets hype about an issue then postpones it causing additional issues. Work/life balance is non existent because you have to stay in town one weekend out of four for ER duty in case something goes wrong and you also have Engineering duties.

Pros

Great pay, benefits

Cons

Always aggressive timelines. Hard for new people to fit in. Love to escalate the smallest of items.

Pros

Pay is great for the area. There are lots of things to see and learn about in the plant. Also a lot of opportunities to move to different positions/departments/locations because Exelon is such a large company.

Cons

Learning the processes and procedures requires more time and effort than solving technical problems. It takes a long time to learn how to effectively complete work via company procedures. Also supporting troubleshooting on nights/weekends.
