Pros

If you are looking to work in a fast paced environment with high monetary rewards, then Explore Group is a great place to work. Of course this does not come easy and with hard work and momentum you will see the rewards. Training programme is offered from day one, whether you are coming in at entry level or more senior level looking to progress. Weekly & monthly incentives to further add compensation Great team environment and regular social team events Senior management are very approachable and get involved with socials Location is close to Reading station for those commuting

Cons

If you are looking to earn commission quickly, you are deluded - hard work and momentum needs to be built. You will see the rewards but this takes time. Prepare yourself for 3 months of no commission and you will be rewarded with different incentives to fill the gap. (this is the same at any recruitment company, so work hard and you will get rewarded). Lack of senior recruiters in Reading office (positive - good opportunity for someone to come in) Business change - direction of organisation changed a lot when I was there, so would be good to see clear plan. Long hours expected (Again this is at all recruitment companies) - If you aren't prepared to work the hours, then don't bother!

Pros

Great atmosphere with fantastic training programming available. Managers are great at getting junior consultants to senior levels as they give one-to-one training and support through out your career. Huge client bases so easy for an smart consultant to come in and start billing straight away. I was at Explore group for a year and I enjoyed every single second of it. I would highly recommend Explore Group for Junior consultants as you will be able to learn a lot from them.

Cons

Long hours and sometime weekend works

Pros

I was at explore for 18 months. I arrived at explore after travelling for 2 years previous and I had no sales experience. They saw the potential in me and from the beginning helped me day to day until I left. They support you in every aspect of your job and constantly challenge you to improve by giving constructive criticism in all areas of your work. This is not just from the owners and directors but from the senior consultants at the business, they all give you the time needed to help and show you how you can continue to improve. One of the biggest pros for me was the company culture and social aspect. Working hard is always important within this industry but when you can have a laugh and enjoy yourself while you are doing this it becomes a job that you can really enjoy and get a lot out of. The money in recruitment speaks for itself, but if you work hard and listen you can reach not just a great salary but the benefits and perks that come with being a consistent biller. Holiday incentives, company car allowance, lunch clubs at some of the nicest restaurants in London and more.

Cons

The hours can be demanding from you, however it is simple you put in what you want to get out of it! Core hours are there but if you want to exceed yourself you put the work in and do everything you can to impress. This is just the nature of the beast
